Literacy Intervention Specialist

About this speaker

Shoshana Zazula is a literacy intervention specialist who provides small group support to groups of struggling readers in Kindergarten through second grade at a Boston area school. She is also the English Language Arts Curriculum Coordinator for K-2 at her school. Shoshana’s background was originally as a Special Education teacher, and she used traditional phonics, Orton Gillingham-based approaches with her students for a number of years before discovering EBLI (Evidence Based Literacy Instruction) and Structured Linguistic Literacy a few years ago. It has been exciting to watch how EBLI has changed the trajectory of her students’ literacy journey!
